Privacy Policy
Live Time Map is a static, no-account website. This page explains, in plain language, exactly what data is involved when you use it.
What this site stores in your browser
When you pin a city, set a home location or switch between 12-hour and 24-hour time, that information (city names, coordinates, time zone IDs and your preferences) is saved using your browser's local storage, on your own device. It is never sent to us and we have no server or database that could collect it. Clearing your browser data, or using the "Clear all" button on the site, removes it completely.
Analytics and cookies
Live Time Map uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate,
anonymous usage, for example how many people visit and which pages are popular. This
helps us improve the tool. Google Analytics sets a small number of cookies (such as
_ga) and processes data like your approximate location (derived from a
truncated IP address, not stored in full by Google Analytics 4), device and browser
type, and the pages you view. We do not use this to identify you personally, and we do
not run advertising cookies. This data is handled under
Google's privacy policy.
You can opt out across all sites with Google's
browser add-on,
or block cookies in your browser settings. You can accept or reject these cookies at
any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of this site.
Third-party services
The map, place search and map tiles are provided by Mapbox. When you search for a city, your query is sent to Mapbox's geocoding service so it can return matching places, and loading the map involves requests to Mapbox's tile servers. These requests are subject to Mapbox's own privacy policy, which governs any data handling on their end. We do not run any advertising services.
Children's privacy
This site is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

This policy may be updated if the site's functionality changes. Check this page periodically for updates.
